Were Their Deaths Connected?
When Matt Harrison arrives in Memphis in 1966 to advance his broadcast career as a radio DJ, he finds himself inadvertently caught up in a web of intrigue. It began years earlier when J. Edgar Hoover compiled his infamous “prayer list” — targeting John F. Kennedy, Martin Luther King, Jr. and Robert F. Kennedy for “removal.”
…When he is stopped by a local deputy with Dixie Mafia connections – setting off a turf war – Next: the sordid world of virulent racism, political corruption, and murder.
A New Political Thriller
Set against the backdrop of the civil rights movement and the rich musical history of the Mississippi Delta, “Memphis” is a gripping political thriller torn from the headlines of the 1960’s when America found itself on the precipice.

“This is the truth, the writing of this book totally sucked me in…if you enjoy a great CONSPIRACY that’s based on actual HISTORIC events, then this is the book for you…and not to mention how the BLUES WEAVES IN AND THOUGH THE STORY! I can’t wait for the MOVIE!”

"MEMPHIS" is one of the most mind-gripping books I have read in years. My plan of reading 50-60 pages per day was quickly discarded as I got more caught up in the story. While written as historical fiction, I recognized many names as I read. And the musicians mentioned definitely took me back in time. Hambrick is an excellent story-teller who makes both the fictionalized and the facts come to life. I went through a range of emotions while gripped by the plot. This story needs to be told. I love a book that makes me think or has an impact on how I view something. Memphis had all I wanted and more.

“Enjoyed your MEMPHIS creation. Many people should be channeled back in time to experience those rapidly changing events reflected in your book. Those who had experienced it firsthand and those newly informed by reading Memphis.. Success Mike with your creativity via the book MEMPHIS.”
Dean Clark
"Memphis by Mike Hambrick is a wild ride made more interesting by Mike's personal backstory as a rock DJ at the same time MLK is assassinated in 1968. The hero in the story Matt Harrison gets swept up in both music and cultural history as he stands against the racist powers at work in the south. He also champions blues and other music icons while risking his life to tell the truth. I learned so much about both the Delta Blues and political landscape of the 1960's. This book is a work of fiction but also exposes genuine, little known historical bombshells of the era. I highly recommend Memphis...get ready to have your mind blown and also to be moved to action to fight against the injustice that is still happening today."

“Memphis, a must-read work of art that will make you sweat and cry with a degree of realism that will leave you stunned, revealing the ongoing battle in America between “good versus evil.” Mike sheds light on the deep state, organized crime, the media and corporate America in the days leading up to MLK’s assassination. A must read!”

“Hambrick writes with an amazing immersive style filled with poignant detail and intensity that puts you on the edge of your seat. Memphis is a must read and truly a wild ride.”

“Wow, very creative and authentic. This is a movie in the making!”

I don’t pretend to be a book critic in any sense of the word, but “MEMPHIS” was an outstanding book in every way, and certainly a “page turner”. I loved the way the storylines were woven together and when one chapter would end, I had to continue to read on. What I would like to know is how much of Matt Harrison (MH) was actually Mike Hambrick (MH). What, if any, of that actually happened to Mike.
